Sowboard Size Calculator
(Length and Waist Width)
Which type of equipment do you ride?
What size snowboard should you get? Never look at a snowboard size chart again, our snowboard size calculator does all the work for you.
Thinking about buying a snowboard? The first step is figuring out what size is best for you. Buying a snowboard that’s the wrong size can slow down your progression and make learning to shred less enjoyable. There’s a lot of info out there about what size snowboard you should get so I did my best to compile it all into a snowboard size calculator that accounts for your height, weight, and boot size.
Just answer a few questions and our snowboard size calculator will tell you what length and width snowboard you need.
What do the results mean?
Snowboard length is measured in centimeters from nose to tail. The numbers you see next to “Recommended Lengths” are the lengths that we recommend based on your height and weight. When selecting a snowboard board we recommend buying one that is a length recommended by the snowboard size calculator.
Getting a snowboard that has an appropriate waist width is also very important. Waste width is how wide the snowboard is in the middle, this is usually measured in mm. We recommend buying a board that has a width within the range provided by the snowboard size calculator. Buying a board with a waist below this range can cause your toe and heel to contact the snow when you turn. This makes for a bad time. Buying a snowboard with a waist width above this range can make it more difficult to turn and engage your edges properly. This also makes for a bad time

Can I get a snowboard outside of the recommended length range?
Yes, ultimately snowboard length comes down to personal preference. Personally, my recommended length is 156-158, but I ride a 155 because I like the feel of a shorter board and the extra maneuverability it gives me in the terrain park. If you choose to get a board within 2 cm of the upper or lower recommendation it won't be a problem. But, if you get something that's 10 or 15 cm longer or shorter than your recommended size, you might have a bad time.
Snowboard size calculator updates coming soon. In the future, this calculator will be able to adjust for your riding style. For example, if you're a park(rail focused) border like me it will recommend a shorter board, or if you ride pow all the time it will recommend something wider.
